As WCP grows as an organization we feel that community outreach will play an
increasingly important role. Not only to create awareness for our theatre and the
arts but to find ways to practically give back to the community in Pinellas County.
The Outreach Committee has developed a three-part strategy that will help us
to build lasting bridges and enrich the arts in our community. The plan is segmented
into these three parts:
We feel that some of the most substantial ways we can improve our community is by strengthening bonds with other non-profits, providing access to critical arts education that has been eliminated in the school systems, and literally bringing the arts to those in our community who, through physical limitation, are not able to enjoy the richness of the theatrical experience.

Community Investment is a program in which WCP fund-raises for another non-profit
organization by donating a percentage of ticket sales for a given performance. This
donation supports non-profits who struggle to make our community a better place
while also raising valuable awareness for WCP.

Educational Enrichment is a value that WCP holds in high regard. With the school
systems budgetary requirements tightening often the first thing to go is arts
education. WCP has several opportunities for students and teachers to enhance arts
education.
Student production internships- encouraging Pinellas County students to
have hands on experience in the production process. Allowing students to shadow our
directors, actors, stage managers, property masters, costume designers and
technicians.
We intend to support the teachers in Pinellas County by providing study
guides available on our website for various productions with literary value. Also,
we will continually invite classes to attend preview performances and talk-back
sessions.
WCP is developing an educational program for theatrically minded students.
This includes a master class series with some of the areas best performance experts.

West Coast On Wheels is an initiative where WCP literally visits Assisted Living
Facilities and retirement communities in our area and perform for residents who are
not able to attend the theatre. We work with activities directors to organize events
where several members of WCP can provide enjoyment to some of the most valuable
members of our community, our seniors.
